Wine Fayre is the trading name and subsidiary of Jonathan Douglas Wines Limited. If you:
- are fed-up with the big chains increasingly trying to dictate which wines you drink?

want to enjoy wines from first class producers of top quality French Appellations, whose names are less well known than the famous ones, at correspondingly value for money prices?

are cynical about the French…..but have the feeling that they still make most of the best wine, even though they only like to export the over-priced famous names together with the plonk, and so keep the best value for money good stuff for themselves?!
then, you’ve found the right Wine Merchant!
Our wine business started as a hobby with us travelling to France to find the wines that we wanted to buy for own consumption – at prices that we were prepared to pay for them with our own hard earned money. Now that our hobby has grown into an internet business, we still only supply wines that we ourselves are buying to serve in our own homes. This means that all of our wines:

are personally selected by us – after extensive research and rigorous tastings!

come direct from top producers of under-valued French Appellations – we don’t use middle men, and only buy the top category French Wines (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée – AOC or AC for short).

offer excellent (low overhead) value for money – in return for guaranteed quality.
The How to Order page details the order process and terms, which are summarised below:-

All of our wines are available in cases of 6 (not 12) bottles – of either the same wine or, where offered, in pre-mixed selections – so minimum orders are for at least 6 bottles (i.e. 1 x 6 bottle case).

All of our prices are quoted per case of 6 bottles and include free delivery within Mainland GB (including Islands connected to Mainland GB by road-bridge) provided that you order at least 18 bottles (i.e. 3 x 6 bottle cases) - otherwise a £10 delivery contribution will automatically be charged. Your order will normally be delivered within a maximum of 14 Days.

If, for any reason, you are dis-satisfied with any wine that we supply to you and you inform us of this reasonably promptly, we will arrange to re-collect it and either replace it or refund the price – at your option.

Equally, if you find any of our wines listed cheaper elsewhere in GB (other than on special offer) and you are good enough to alert us to this at the time, we will happily refund the price difference to you.
